Where the Heart Leads
About
When efficiency consultant Malcolm Rayner arrives in the small coastal town of Seafallow, he has a perfectly organized plan: six months in a rented cottage to “clear his head” before returning to corporate life. Temporary. Logical. No emotional entanglements.
His rescue dog Tuck, however, has other ideas.
Between his dog’s mysterious escapes, the town’s quirky residents who refuse to respect his personal boundaries, and a determinedly friendly bookstore owner named Sydney Chen, Malcolm’s careful plans begin unraveling faster than he can reorganize them. When he accidentally becomes involved in efforts to save the town’s historic lighthouse from corporate developers, Malcolm finds himself doing the unthinkable—caring about something beyond spreadsheets and optimization metrics.
As seasons change in Seafallow, Malcolm faces an unexpected decision: return to the efficiently organized life he had planned, or embrace the messy, imperfect connections of a community that somehow feels like home.
Sometimes finding your way means letting someone else lead—even if that someone has four paws and an uncanny ability to find exactly where you’re supposed to be.
