Five years after the REBIRTH pathogen created the Altered, a community of RVers has survived by staying mobile. Now facing dwindling fuel, they must journey south to Lake Azure—a rumored sanctuary with sustainable resources.

Led by former engineer Ellie Chambers, they consolidate from seventeen vehicles to eight and embark on a dangerous 300-mile trek. But Commander Phillips of the militaristic Restoration Zone has designs on Lake Azure too, particularly its research on immunity to the pathogen.

Their arrival reveals Lake Azure as both haven and battleground. As the RV community integrates with the settlement’s survivors, they must navigate shifting alliances, protect crucial research, and defend against Phillips’ forces—all while the Altered themselves begin showing signs of disturbing evolution.
